Last night, my colleague Gordon Morton and I had the wonderful privilege of speaking at a great city meeting in Portland, Oregon. Our good friends, 500Ks Art and Terry Manville, hosted the meeting, bringing in 200 guests to learn about the industry’s best opportunity.
Gordon’s quick presentation about the emergence of XanGo’s second wave was both exceptionally powerful and well received. Now is the perfect time to connect with old contacts as the wellness industry continues to grow even during tough economic times.
Alena Larson took the stage and delivered an in-depth presentation on Glimpse Skin Care, which generated extraordinary excitement in the crowd. Then, to really stir things up, the big announcement was made that Stacy Malkan—lead media strategist for the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics and communications director of Health Care Without Harm—would be attending Overdrive 2008 Convention, following it up with a 12–city post-Convention tour!
Our gracious host, Art Manville, finished up the meeting with his own outstanding presentation on the power of retailing. With the introduction of Glimpse Builder’s Packs, the retailing opportunity will expand exponentially—making for a very bright future.
It was a great meeting that got people asking a lot of good questions. I noticed a definite buzz about the upcoming spa opportunities that will accompany the Glimpse launch.
Portland is a city known for its natural approach and readiness to reward green technology. Our potential there is huge. There are so many people excited to finally have skin care that is safe for use… and not just in Portland, either. It’s everywhere.
